On 22 September 2022, Paloma + Joel had the most stunning luxury wedding at the Rust House Manor in Leesburg, Virginia. Their day was elegant, intentional, and oh so beautiful! The day started with a peaceful drive in light rain (that light-end-of-summer-drizzle that makes you feel a bit nostalgic, if you know what I mean), the most stunning accessories, and a cute little guest star (peep the little ladybug on her heels!)
Modern and Vintage Luxury Details
Paloma’s accessories also included a stunning vintage Prada handbag…what an ICONIC detail!
One of the most unique parts of Rust Manor House is their STUNNING green library, so of course we had to take full advantage of it. We finished up detail photos there with some of the most gorgeous dress photos I have taken.
The nearlyweds then shared a tearful first look on the balcony, and then we moved to take some editorial bridal party portraits back in the library.

Rust Manor House also has some of the most stunning grounds (68-acres of woods and meadows to be precise). Thankfully, the rain let up in time allowing us to take full advantage of them. The groomsmen and the bridesmaids alike were able to soak in some warm, September sun rays and enjoy this luxurious manor’s property.
A Golden Ceremony
Thanks to the morning’s summer rain and a bit of good luck, the sun graced their outdoor ceremony with the most elegant golden rays. Paloma + Joel also had the best idea and spent their ceremony seated on an elegant daffodil yellow settee facing their guests. It was everything and more.
A “Late-Summer Day’s Dream”
Now that title may be a horrible play on words (sorry Shakespear), but Paloma + Joel truly did shine, and their natural love for each other photographed so beautifully. It’s hard to do them justice with just a few highlight photos, but I will always remember and adore this sweet, loving couple.
A Reception to Remember
True to the rest of the day, the reception was nothing short of a dream, and the sun once again had a main character moment and threatened to steal the show. Check out how dreamy these tablescapes are!

Cultures Collide on the Dance Floor
When the time came, family from near and far, the young and the old alike, all flooded the floor and boogied to music that represented all of the present cultures. It was such a delight to see so many diverse families come together to celebrate the love of Joel + Paloma!
Fun with Flash
We ended the night with some fun flash portraits and cake cutting! If I’m being honest, this is one of my favorite parts of the night. I absolutely love sneaking away with my couples so 1. they can get some fun, intimate photos, and 2. they can have a few minutes of peace to themselves!
If you can’t tell by now, this wedding was one for the books. The family absolutely opened their hearts and made us feel like honored guests, not just photographers. I am so lucky to have the best clients.
